New programme details have been released for the Community Pharmacy and General Practice Conference, with a range of practical sessions for practice managers focused on strengthening collaboration across primary care.

Taking place on 21–22 June 2026 at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham, the free, CPD-accredited conference is delivered in partnership with Management in Practice and the National Pharmacy Association (NPA).

It will bring together professionals from across primary care – including within general practice, community pharmacy, nursing, PCNs and system leaders – to explore how collaboration can support neighbourhood health delivery.

Across five core themes – Collaboration in Action, Business and Service Innovation, Leadership and Workforce, Technology and AI for Integration, and Clinical Skills Booster – attendees will hear examples of how teams are working together to deliver more joined-up care.

Sessions of particular relevance to practice managers include a collaboration workshop focused on reducing day-to-day friction between general practice and community pharmacy, with solutions to improve coordination, streamline workflows and support more effective service delivery.

The programme also features a session on redesigning access through total triage and patient navigation, exploring how practices can manage rising demand, improve patient flow and create a more efficient, integrated front door across primary care.

Across the two days, sessions will explore how practice managers can:

· Manage demand and improve access across their practice

· Streamline workflows and optimise workforce capacity

· Strengthen collaboration with community pharmacy to support service delivery

Confirmed speakers include Tracy Dell, locum practice manager and primary care trainer at the PMA, Denise Smith, practice manager at Merepark Medical Centre, and Professor Victoria Tzortziou Brown OBE, chair of RCGP.

The event will also feature a dedicated networking zone, cross-sector sessions and opportunities to share best practice.

The conference is free to attend and offers up to 10 CPD hours.
