Management in Practice is to hold its final face-to-face event of the year tomorrow (30 November) in Newcastle.
The one-day, free-to-attend conference is designed specifically for practice managers, GP partners, administration teams and all those involved in running GP practices, federations and PCNs.
It follows the first MIP events since the Covid-19 pandemic began, in London (14 September) and Birmingham (9 November).
Alejandra Campos, events director at Cogora, said: ‘Concluding our face-to-face events for the year, the final conference-exhibition in Newcastle will include presentations across two streams, giving the attendees a chance to tailor the day to meet varied learning needs.
‘Drawing on the feedback from our events in London and Birmingham, we have included pertinent topics such as LGBTQ+/gender identity inclusion in general practice and using mindfulness as a tool to manage stress.’
Other topics across the day will include HR, finance, technology, staff wellbeing and legal issues, with sessions on how to drive better outcomes for patients, an update on the NHS Pension, LGBTQ+ and gender identity inclusion in general practice and improving access to general practice through virtual clinics.
Speakers at the event include chief medical officer of Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisations, Dr Sohail Munshi; GP partner in Brighton, Dr Sam Hall; and GP and clinical director OW Newcastle PCN, Dr Brigid Joughin.
