Management in Practice’s first face-to-face event since the Covid-19 pandemic began has received a huge response, Cogora’s events team has reported.

With just two weeks to go, registrations – which opened two months ago – to attend Management In Practice London at the ILEC Conference Centre, on 14 September are almost to full capacity.

The first event will soon be followed by Birmingham (9 November) and Newcastle (30 November).

Alejandra Campos, Cogora events director, said: ‘After over a year delivering virtual events, the return to our face-to-face events gives our community a very much missed chance to network, share experiences and learn about the latest products and services.

‘And this appetite is very much reflected in the positive response we have had to our Management In Practice Events in London, Birmingham and Newcastle.’

These one day, free-to-attend events are designed specifically for Practice Managers, GP Partners, Administration teams, and those involved in running GP surgeries, federations, PCNs and other primary care medical services.

Topics covered will include managing changes to commissioning structures, HR, finance, technology, staff wellbeing, and legal issues, with an expert panel of speakers, including Dr Farzana Hussain, GP, clinical director Newham Central 1 PCN & LMC committee member, and Dr Sohail Munshi, Chief Medical Officer of Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisations.

The Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM), AMSPAR, and the Practice Management Network Board & Lay/Patient Reviewer will be chairing the different streams.
