Leading teams through continuous digital change will be one of the themes being addressed at the next Management in Practice Virtual event, which will explore how digital innovation, technology and AI are affecting the day-to-day running of general practice.

Taking place on Wednesday 1 July 2026, the free online event is the third part in the Digital Innovation – Technology and AI for General Practice series and will bring together practice managers, primary care leaders and frontline experts to discuss the pressures, opportunities and practical decisions facing practices as the digital agenda evolves.

The event will look at how digital tools and AI can support teams in a way that is safe, realistic and useful.

Sessions currently confirmed on the agenda include:

  • Digital first: what the national expectations are when it comes to access and how practice managers can anticipate needs around capacity, staffing, and patient expectations .
  • Using AI safely and effectively in general practice, which will also look at practical use cases that support day-to-day work
  • Creating value from better digital ways of working.

Further sessions will be added to the agenda in the coming weeks.

The event is designed to offer practical learning for those leading the operational and organisational side of general practice, with a focus on what can be applied in real-world settings.

It will feature eight sessions across seven hours, with practical updates and insights delegates can take back to their own organisations.
