The entire Labour health ministerial team, with the exception of Health Secretary Andy Burnham, has been voted out of office.

The Tories ousted three ministers and one ex-minister from their constituency seats:

  • Ann Keen, a former health minister, lost her Brentford and Isleworth seat to Mary Macleod by 2,000 votes
  • Health Minister Mike O’Brien (pictured) was beaten by Dan Byles in Warwickshire North by 54 votes
  • Phil Hope, the Care Services Minister, lost his Corby seat to Louise Bagshawe by almost 2,000 votes
  • Gillian Merron, the Public Health Minister, lost her Lincoln seat to Karl McCartney by around 1,000 votes.
