The entry deadline for the General Practice Awards 2026, which recognise excellence in primary care, has been extended to June 16.

Practice managers, GPs, practice teams, nurses, pharmacists, reception teams, PCNs and suppliers have until 4pm next Tuesday to submit their nominations in categories that cover clinical care, innovation, leadership, teamwork and more.

Those wishing to enter can find more information and submit at the General Practice Awards website.

Organised by Management in Practice’s publisher Cogora, the awards are now in their 18th year. Not only do they provide an opportunity to ensure team or individual achievements are given the recognition they deserve, they also serve to share good practice within the wider primary care community.

Examples of what might make a good entry include a colleague who has gone above and beyond for their patients, a team that has made a real difference to patient care or staff teams, or a project that has had a clear impact on services or outcomes.

You can nominate yourself, a colleague, or a team, and you can enter more than one category.
Some categories are still light on entries, including Receptionist/Reception Team of the Year, Sustainability in Practice, Extended Practice Team Member of the Year and Future Leader in Primary Care, so we would particularly encourage submissions in these areas.

The awards also recognise suppliers working in general practice. Categories cover AI and digital solutions, pharmacy, professional services, and recruitment and staffing. If your company supports general practice and you have not yet entered, next week’s deadline is the final opportunity to do so.

To help with entries, we have provided an Entry Submission Guide, which sets out what information you will be asked to provide in the online form, including character limits, and offers tips on what to include.
Submit your entry here by 4pm on June 16.
