Management in Practice has launched a survey to gather the views of practice managers and PCN managers following the end of the initial five-year PCN contract.

The State of Primary Care Survey asks how changes to the NHS during the past five years — the launch of PCNs in 2019 and the shift to integrated care systems in 2022 — have affected your profession, patients and practices.

It also seeks your views on what a new government’s priorities for the NHS should be ahead of a general election.

It should take less than 10 minutes to complete. And if you leave your contact details, you will be entered into a prize draw to win £200 of John Lewis vouchers.

The survey is being jointly carried out with sister titles, Pulse PCN and Healthcare Leader. It will also gather the views of PCN clinical directors, GP leads as well as ARRS staff.

Pulse PCN editor, Victoria Vaughan, said: ‘Primary care has seen massive changes over the last five years and this survey aims to hear about their impact from those experiencing them first hand.

‘PCNs have challenged the status quo in General Practice and there has been a huge influx of staff through the PCN ARRS scheme.

‘These changes remain controversial with ongoing debates around the funding of general practice and the use of physician associates. Added to that, the demise of the clinical commissioning groups has left some primary care leaders feeling the role of this sector is diminished.

‘We hope this survey provides the opportunity to have your voice heard ahead of any future changes a new government may seek to make.’

Thanks in advance for taking part.
