Updated resources for GPs preparing for revalidation have been launched by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).

Including example portfolios, toolkits and a Q&A, the resources are designed to make revalidation a “positive and rewarding experience” for GPs.

The example portfolios cover out of hours GPs, GPs with special interests as well as academic GPs.

The five toolkits cover:

• quality improvement

• complaints

• feedback

• significant event audits

• impact credits

Professor Nigel Sparrow, RCGP revalidation lead said: ‘I am confident that these excellent additional resources will make revalidation as supportive and stress-free as possible for all our members and any GPs going through revalidation.”

There are plans to add continuously to the resources, which are available for all RCGP members.
