One year ago, the white paper Our Health, Our Care, Our Say was published, laying out the government’s vision of community-based care.

Now the NHS Institute, working with the Department of Health and the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP), is organising a White Paper Summit to examine progress so far and to initiate closer working between health and social care. This will take place at the QEII Conference Centre in London on 19 March.

Plenary speakers include Andy Burnham MP, Minister of State for Delivery and Reform, David Colin-Thome, National Clinical Director for Primary Care, Helen Bevan, Director of Service Transformation at the NHS Institute, and Richard Humphries, Chief Executive, Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP).

Attendees will also hear about new products from the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement that will help deliver care outside hospitals in community-based settings, in line with the white paper.
