The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement launched a series of events this week aimed at encouraging members of the NHS to learn from non-NHS organisations and think differently about some of the challenges they face.

The series of events – called “What would you do if …” – will provide ways in which the NHS can learn from external organisations in specific challenges it faces. The events will bring together people with different perspectives and backgrounds who have been identified as having knowledge and experience relevant to that area and are willing to share their insights with the NHS.

Mark Mugglestone, Associate for Service Transformation at the NHS Institute, said: “By running these ‘What would you do if…’ workshops, we hope to learn from non-healthcare organisations to ensure that the NHS is making the best use of current practice and thinking within industry.”
