The latest hygiene technology from Britain’s hospitals and care homes is in demand from the wider private sector.

From today, Talley Environmental Care’s sanitising system – used in frontline wards, GP surgeries and care homes – will help businesses kill superbugs, including MRSA and C-Difficile.

A partnership between the healthcare specialist and pest-control company Enviroguard will protect bustling restaurants, hotels, offices and shopping centres from contamination, by stopping viruses, moulds and spores in their tracks.

At the system’s heart is a unique broad-spectrum fluid called TECare, which is totally harmless to humans but kills or deactivates 99.9998 of microbes, and keeps killing for up to four weeks.

Under the service, technicians will measure bacteria levels, then sanitise all relevant areas including surfaces such as tables, door handles, worktops, taps, and lift buttons. Further tests results will then document the exceptional hygiene levels for management records and peace of mind.

The new partnership follows demand from the private sector after heightened concern in the catering industry about accountability and the need to demonstrate steps taken to protect customers.
