Understanding the financial impact of the 2025/26 GP contract will be the focus of the keynote speech at this year’s Management in Practice conference in Birmingham on 10 June.

Healthcare accountants Nick Stevenson and Kieran Hancock will outline how practices are likely to fare in the revised contract’s income streams.

Both are members of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA), and they will take a practical, case study-based approach to highlight how profitability may vary between different practices.

The keynote is one of many sessions at the conference that focus on delivering practical advice and actionable tips for busy practice managers.

Other sessions include how to maximise practice income, which will be led by former practice manager partner Daniel Vincent. Now chief executive of Enhanced Primary Care, he will share how to cut costs without cutting corners.

There is also a session with practical tips on streamlining GP triage processes to enhance patient access led by Dr Ketan Vekaria, triage GP at Ortus Health.

And former practice manager Gary Hughes will be sharing his business expertise, looking at the seven key ingredients of a successful practice or PCN.
