A Poole doctor has admitted to a professional panel that he used his surgery computer to watch pornography.

Ralph Vadas, who worked at West Canford Heath Medical Centre, admitted viewing the images between 2004 and 2008, the General Medical Council (GMC) said.

Dr Vadas, who is appearing before a GMC fitness to practise hearing, admitted a string of other offences, including touching the buttocks of a colleague and setting up a webcam in his office which pointed towards the area where patients would sit.

He also admitted he had been drunk during practice hours on occasions in 2007 and that he had accessed patient records in 2008 and 2009 while suspended from practising.

The doctor is also alleged to have masturbated in the kitchen of the surgery in 2008, as well as providing sub-standard care to eight patients and making threats against a witness.

The hearing is listed for eight weeks.
