Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed Sudesh Madan, 57, of Homeway, Romford, Essex, had previously admitted four counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and four counts of supplying a controlled drug. She was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court.
Madan, who had also asked for eight other offences to be taken into consideration, sold Diethylpropion and Phentermine pills at a number of “Easy Slim” clinics before being arrested by Hertfordshire Constabulary in 2009.
The force’s serious and organised crime group found almost 38,000 of the pills when it searched clinics in Welwyn Garden City, Herts; Harlow, Essex; Wakefield, West Yorkshire; Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Police believe Madan – known to her patients as Dr Ahmed in northern clinics – started supplying the pills after she was struck off the medical register in 2001.
