The finalists for the coveted 2025 Practice Manager of the year Award have been announced.
The prize, part of the prestigious 17th annual General Practice Awards that recognise excellence, innovation and leadership in primary care will be presented at a ceremony and black-tie gala dinner in December.
A judging panel comprising practice managers and experts assessed strong entries, with six practice managers making it on to the awards shortlist.
The finalists for the Practice Manager of the Year, sponsored by General Practice Solutions, are:
Muhammad Ahmed – Group Business Manager, North Trafford Group Practice, Manchester
Caitlin Clarke (winner of the award in 2023) – Business Manager at Castle Partnership in Norwich and Managing Partner, Fleggburgh Surgery in Great Yarmouth
Tracey Clarke – Practice Manager, Magdalen Medical Practice, Norwich
Kate Mansi – Practice Manager, Wokingham Medical Centre, Wokingham and Modality Wokingham PCN
Nicola Rice – Senior Practice Lead, NPC Ponteland, Newcastle upon Tyne
Scott Ridley – Practice Manager Partner at the Harefield Practice, Middlesex.
Meanwhile, there are seven finalists in the Receptionist/Reception Team of the Year award. They are:
The Practice Administrative Team at The New Surgery, Folkestone; the Central Medical Centre Reception Team, Peterborough; Maxine Paget, Reception Manager at the Lodge Health Partnership, Hertfordshire; the Local Primary Care Navigators and Reception Team, Blackburn with Darwen; the Park Surgery – Herne Bay Reception Team, Kent; the Reception/Admin Team at Queensbridge Group Practice, Hackney, London; and the Care Navigation Team at Saxmundham Health, Suffolk.
