How to communicate with a multi-generational workforce

Managers can download an infographic guide from the NHS on how to best communicate with staff of all ages. You can see it here.

There are four different generations in the workplace born between 1995 and 1960. Each group has their own preferred communication channels, according to NHS Employers.

From WhatsApp to text messages, and from emails to face-to-face meetings, the guide shows each group top favourite was to communicate.

‘Communicating through a generation’s preferred channels can improve awareness and engagement,’ NHS Employers said, and create a more positive employer-employee relationship.
