MIP’s new editor invites you to join our next live event

This week’s Management in Practice event in London on June 24 will be the first I’m attending since I took over as editor.

It will also be one of the first in a while that I’m visiting in-person. So for me, it’s an event that’s even more exciting than usual.

More than anything I’m keen to meet you all, so I can get to know you better, hear about the issues you face in general practice, about developments within the profession and the brilliant new ideas and innovations you are putting in place in your organisations. Ultimately, what makes our events invaluable is being able to catch up face-to-face, chat and network with colleagues and friends. They are an opportunity to connect and learn in a way we just can’t do online.

Of course, the conference offers a programme packed with expert speakers on highly topical subjects – everything from finances, management and technology to workload and inclusivity – that we know are critical in this post-Covid landscape. For me, some of the session highlights are:

  • How practices can protect themselves from the risk of job burnout and soaring stress levels
  • How to sharpen procurement processes and negotiating techniques, and learn to bid for new funds
  • A panel debate on addressing patient expectations (a topic we can’t ignore, particularly post-Covid)
  • How to maximise QOF income and why QOF activity should be managed by non-clinicians.

The best bit is that all of this is free. All you need to do is sign up to book your place here.

All I ask is that you please come and say hello, I’ll be very glad to meet you at the Novotel London West this Friday.
