The government’s £150,000 dementia innovation prize is still up for grabs.
The NHS Innovation Challenge Prize for Dementia is open to frontline health and social care staff for the next week.
Almost 300 application forms have been downloaded for this year’s competition, which officially closes at midday on 4 September.
There can be more than one winner and each will receive national recognition for their achievement, with the potential for their approach to be scaled up across the rest of the country.
Professor Alistair Burns, National Clinical Director for Dementia said: “The unprecedented interest to date clearly demonstrates the importance of dementia amongst healthcare professionals.
“It’s still not too late to apply for this high profile prize and I would strongly urge anyone working in the field to contribute.”
