The number of general practices achieving maximum Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) points rose by 0.3% in 2010/2011, new figures show.
Data from the NHS Information Centre shows practices scored an average of 94.7% points this year – a 1% rise when compared to 2009/2010 figures.
Furthermore, the number of practices achieving less than 90% of points fell by 4.7% in 2010/2011 when compared to 2009/2010.
The average number of points achieved per practice grew across all domains in 2010/2011.
The critical domain saw the largest absolute increase of 6.2% and the additional domain – the domain with the smallest number of points available – saw the highest increase in the percentage of average points achieved, a 1.8% increase.
