The NHS Direct website has launched a new “Christmas Health Zone” that promises to offer answers to all festive health questions.
The new zone answers festive questions about how to cook a turkey, drink within safe limits, cope with extra stress and watch the waistline.
Adrian Reyes Hughes, associate director of health and health service information, said: “Christmas is a really busy time and every year we rush around to get things done in time.
“But if everyone took just a few minutes to look at the new NHS Direct Christmas Health Zone, it might help to take the stress out of the festivities and may prevent them from becoming ill.”
The new zone also give advice on NHS out of hours services and how to get urgent and emergency help around the clock.
